The Corporate Communications and Marketing team is one of the primary external-facing departments within Cambridge Judge Business School. The team includes the Corporate Communications, Brand, Media Relations, Corporate Marketing & PR, Social Media and Online Communications functions. The team exists to raise the profile and communicate the impact of Cambridge Judge Business School to diverse audiences and stakeholders, ranging from prospective and current students, faculty, alumni, existing supporters and the general public, through to media agencies, social media influencers, and national and international media.

The Senior Content Specialist will write for readership, crafting compelling content for the full range of corporate communications channels. This will include writing, editing and repurposing content in a variety of formats for a range of audiences and channels: press, print, social, digital, websites and presentations.

The role holder will work across the team, working on a daily basis with the Head of Media Relations, who will be the role holder's line manager, the Marketing & PR Manager, to whom the role holder will have a dotted reporting line, and the Digital Media Manager, for whom the role holder will draft posts and content. The role holder will actively engage in a Business School-wide communications network to proactively source content opportunities and to shape the narrative in support of the team content strategy.  They will interview faculty, students and alumni for website articles, curate content on topical themes of interest to our audiences, measure readership and adapt content creation accordingly. In addition, they will have responsibility for on-page optimisation of website content, creating 'quality' content for search.

With experience and a demonstrated natural talent for writing from scratch, you should be highly literate with a background of writing a wide range of communications for a high-profile organisation with the ability to contribute effectively to communications campaigns. Excellent grammar and punctuation skills are obviously essential. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, be a good team player, be organised and be able to proactively contribute to team content planning and evaluation and be able to handle enquiries discreetly and tactfully.

Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise a diverse and ever-evolving workload across social, press, corporate and publications is essential to the success in this role. You must have strong IT skills, including the Microsoft Office packages, and experience and aptitude for on-page SEO optimasation.
