With our academic staff delivering to over 2000 students, the Department of Allied Health Professions at Sheffield Hallam is dynamic, forward thinking, friendly - and one of the UK's largest providers of allied health professions education. We have been delivering occupational therapy education for 29 years and our teaching staff are qualified occupational therapists with a wealth of experience in the clinical environment.
We are growing our team due to expansion of our pre-registration programmes: BSc Occupational Therapy, Degree Apprenticeship in Occupational Therapy and MSc Occupational Therapy. We are also growing our postgraduate provision with a range of profession specific and multi-professional modules/awards/apprenticeships.
You will contribute to a range of modules and modes of teaching and learning across our programmes, engaging with students through lectures, workshops, action learning sets, practical activities, clinical simulation, and placement learning. You will also be encouraged to develop research and scholarly activity to further your own academic profile and enhance your teaching.
We particularly welcome applicants with experience of contemporary occupational therapy practice and in some of the following areas; creativity and occupation, mental health and learning disabilities, healthy ageing and wellbeing, working with children and young people, vocational rehabilitation and sensory integration education.
