Are you motivated by working in a diverse and ever-changing environment and international University community?
As one of the top 100 universities in the world, The University of Sheffield benefits from a dynamic multicultural environment, where every student and staff member is valued and welcomed.
We are currently looking for cleaning staff to join our team which has been built of people from different heritages and lifestyles, whose talent and contributions complement each other to the greatest effect. We want our service to reflect the rich diversity of our community. Currently less than 16% of our cleaning staff are male, and we therefore welcome applications from self-identifying men.
Our cleaning staff play a major role in the smooth running of the University, ensuring that our staff and students receive a consistently high standard of service across the campus. We are always looking for people who want to make a difference and become part of a highly motivated team that is prepared to go the extra mile and takes pride in the important role that they play.
We require individuals with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our teams who are responsible for cleaning academic and administrative buildings across the University Campus.
We are looking for individuals with a flexible approach to work, a real commitment to customer service and to being part of a team. You will not require experience as full training will be provided.
If you think that you would like to join our team, and contribute to our high quality service, please complete an on-line application form. If you demonstrate that you meet our criteria, then we will invite you to take part in our Cleaning Open Day which will consist of an interview and assessment. It will also give you an opportunity to meet the team and ask questions about the role. This will be held on a date to be fixed in the week commencing Monday 8th November 2021.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
