The School of Education invites applications for the position of Reader in Interdisciplinary Research in Education (Research & Teaching Track) at University of Glasgow. The School of Education is one of the leading Schools of Education globally, ranked No 38 in the QS for Education and Training (2021). We are a large and dynamic unit which brings together academics and researchers with expertise across all sectors of education: formal and non-formal, pre-school through to higher, adult and community education.

The School aims to contribute to better places locally, nationally and globally, providing a major source of research-informed evidence that contributes to positive economic and societal impact.
We are organised into four Research and Teaching Groups: Culture, Literacies, Inclusion & Pedagogy (CLIP); Educational Leadership & Policy (ELP); Pedagogy, Praxis & Faith (PPF); and People, Place & Social Change (PPSC). The research of the RTGs currently crosses five thematic areas: migration and refugee education; collaborative schooling for change; ethics, religion and values in education; urban and place-based learning; and adult learning and youth transitions. Each highlights aspects of our commitment to social justice in education.
The School is situated within the College of Social Sciences (CoSS) and a key purpose of this post is to lead interdisciplinary research, scholarship and knowledge exchange across CoSS and University.
Applications are invited from candidates with a Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD) or equivalent in a related discipline with an extensive and established reputation in research and significant teaching experience within the discipline/subject area.
