NTU is a university at the peak of its powers, but we know we can still go even further. Join us in our mission to become ‘the university of the future’ — seize the challenge and adventure of working with an organisation where progress never stops. This is your career, reimagined.
The Department of Engineering was launched at the Clifton campus in 2017 and offers courses covering Biomedical, Sports, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering. In 2019 the Department moved into a bespoke new building right at the heart of the campus and boasts a huge selection of state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Including an environmental chamber, wind tunnel and drone flying lab to name just a few.
Our current rapid expansion in both student and academic staff numbers means we require additional technical support in both teaching sessions and with research projects, and therefore we are looking to recruit to this Technician position. The successful applicant will join an enthusiastic, driven team looking to continue the success of the department, and the University.
The role will involve setting up maintaining and clearing away as necessary equipment for use within Mechanical and Electronics labs. Equipment includes Fluid and Solid mechanics demonstration equipment, 3D printers, laser cutters, power tools, hand tools. This is a very hands on role, and you will be expected to provide support to students and lead by example always demonstrating safe practice and correct technique.
Nottingham Trent University are committed to delivering outstanding teaching and world-leading research, that changes lives and society. If you are ambitious and want to help shape the future and contribute to our mission come and join our team of enthusiastic staff and students.
