The role

The University is embarking on a significant period of change, driven by a new digital strategy that will deliver globally accessible technical services & digital solutions to empower world class learning and research. Its key focus is on the Digital needs of our students, staff and research partners, and modernising the University’s critical IT Infrastructure.

The University of Bristol IT Services division is expanding its Projects team and is seeking an experienced project manager to provide additional project management support for current and emerging projects within IT.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for planning and managing the delivery of complex projects within agreed parameters of cost, timescale and quality. You will provide supplier management, establish aims and objectives required to deliver business benefit, and work with technical staff to satisfy project stakeholders.

You should apply if

We are looking for someone who has the following knowledge and experience;

  • Detailed knowledge of the principles of project management.
  • Considerable experience of the full project life-cycle and project management methodologies within the IT environment
  • Experience of delivering projects in a changing and ambiguous environment.
  • Experience of projects managing the delivery of integrated IT systems.

Additional information

Contract type: Fixed term maternity cover until August 2022
