The Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills (ECMS) is an employer-led training facility designed to improve productivity and growth in the high value manufacturing sector. The ECMS has been funded by a grant provided by the Black Country LEP/Midlands Engine, awarded to the University of Wolverhampton as Project Sponsor, working in collaboration with key organisations in the region. Recently the Project has been given a broader brief extending its scope beyond the original target group.
ECMS is seeking to employ a Knowledge Transfer Manager to deliver Business Assist support to SMEs via a range of activities. Generating interest from eligible organisations and working proactively with them by drawing upon funded Project facilities, equipment, skills, knowledge and contacts, the aim will be to ensure that SMEs get the best support possible from the Project which in turn has a positive and tangible impact upon their business.
The Knowledge Transfer Manager will work in close liaison with ECMS Partner Organisations, ECMS Industry Board Members, SMEs and other supporting industry bodies to understand, and be able to develop and deliver, appropriate training and development courses, workshops and events in response to market needs founded in an industrial setting.
You will have a good standard of general education up to and including A Level or equivalent. You will also have a first degree in a subject relevant to the manufacturing industry or equivalent work experience. Experience of developing and delivering training courses and events in a subject area relevant to the manufacturing sector is essential. Applicants with experience of delivering training in strategy formulation and delivery, lean manufacturing, training and development or sales are particularly welcome.
For further information about the post please contact Krys Manifold, ECMS Project Manager, on 07583132319 or via email, K.Manifold@wlv.ac.uk.

We believe in creating an even playing field for all our colleagues, where we can all belong.
