The University of Buckingham is among the fifteen smallest in the UK and is rightly proud of its distinctive features, namely: it is the only private University in the UK with a Royal Charter; secondly, it pioneered the first accelerated (two-year) degree; and finally, it provides students with a personalised learning experience through its small-group academic tutorial system and exceptional pastoral care provision.

The Finance Business Partners are responsible for liaising with budget managers across the University to ensure we manage our financial resources effectively to achieve financial success and resilience. The FBPs work closely with Faculty and Professional Services representatives to understand and interpret strategies so that short, medium- and long-term financial plans and structures are put into place to support the university’s strategies.

Through applying the business partnering approach and working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, the FBP team provides a planning and financial management service including efficient and effective financial and business reporting.
