The Division of Psychology, Sociology & Education is seeking to appoint a full time Lecturer in Psychology with a focus on cognitive psychology, to teach at all levels within the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate teaching portfolio in Psychology, including our BPS Accredited B.Sc. (Hons) Psychology programme. They will also be expected to be a Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and have knowledge of BPS standards and accreditation procedures. The successful applicant will, in addition, be expected to contribute to postgraduate teaching and supervision.
Applicants should have, or be working towards completion of a relevant, research-focussed PhD / Doctoral qualification in Psychology. They must have experience of online and on campus learning, teaching and assessment in cognitive psychology and be able to contribute to teaching in at least one additional core area of psychology, as well as contribute to research methods teaching. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the quality of our teaching and learning activities within our programmes, demonstrate ambition to develop a research portfolio and be committed to the enhancement of the Division in line with the University’s strategic plans.
