Elizabeth School of London was founded in 2011 as an English language school and recruiter and since then we have grown into the institution we are today.

We have campuses in Holborn and Leeds, which are able to accommodate over 1,000 students in each year and our training centres are in Birmingham and Manchester. Internationally, we are in the midst of our expansion programme that will bring offices to five continents. We have our main Asian offices in Delhi, India as well as in Pune and Mumbai. Offices in Vietnam, Pakistan and Bangladesh make up our Asian connection.

ESL is seeking to appoint a Business Lecturer with an interest in any area of Business Management. We welcome applications from all areas of management including entrepreneurship, marketing, HRM and related disciplines.

We look to appoint academics who understand and have experience of delivering teaching to and assessing international and local students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, both face to face and online. We are seeking to appoint someone who is ready to join an ambitious school and take on responsibility for a growing curriculum.

This role is for a Business Lecturer is to teach on a broad range of lectures and tutorials, work with organisations to develop our activities, and undertake administrative duties as necessary.

We particularly seek someone with a professional business background who will:

  • Contribute to the production of module/unit specific Scheme of Work.
  • Develop module materials for each of the modules being undertaken.
  • Provide/Deliver/Facilitate subject-specific sessions in line with the LOs and syllabuses of respective modules.
  • Deploy assessments appropriately as set out by the assessment team.
  • Set out measures to understand the learning needs of students on their modules
  • Enter attendance registers for each session as prescribed by the policies of ESL and work with the Module Leader to ratify the accuracy of the information being entered for students on digital registers.
  • Support students with timely formative feedback to the extent prescribed by each of the programme specifications.
  • Mark and provide summative feedback within the prescribed deadline published by the Assessment Team.
  • Ensure that all expectations of the Programme Specification of respective Awarding Bodies and Universities under which modules are being taught
  • Produce appropriate module/unit reports
  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Contribute to the Business School’s Research Department at the Holborn campus.
  • Active potential for progression with position and salary.

Essential Requirements:

  • Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area
  • Teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc
  • Previous lecturing experience for similar courses
  • Work in line with Blackboard / VLEs, MS Teams / Zoom.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working in the industry of your subject
