JOB OVERVIEW

The Egyptian Branch campus of University of Hertfordshire (UH) is seeking to appoint a vibrant, creative and inspirational tutor to join our thriving Initial English Department at UH hosted by GAF Our students come from diverse backgrounds to study our international foundation year (IFP). We offer world-class British Education in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt bringing globally accredited Bachelor Degrees from the UK to Egypt

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to join the EAP team at The Egyptian branch campus of University of Hertfordshire on a full-time permanent contract. You’ll join a friendly and supportive team that has a variety of different teaching experiences. Working in the contemporary new capital Campus, you will be given the chance to teach in modern facilities, delivering our bespoke EAP curriculum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this job, you’ll deliver our EAP module provision, teaching groups across both our International Foundation Year programmes. Our class sizes are on average between 15-20 students, giving you the opportunity to be innovative whilst providing an engaging learning experience. You’ll have the opportunity to also assist the students with their academic skills, exam preparation and will have marking responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • You will be a student-centered Tutor, with experience teaching EAP in a higher education environment either abroad or in the UK.
  • A DELTA or Masters in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or equivalent is desirable.
  • A CELTA and experience are also considered.
  • If you have taught on pre-sessional EAP programmes this would be advantageous.
  • You’ll be proficient in the use of learning technologies.

Main duties & responsibilities

  • Upon acceptance you will join a team of Tutors in the International Foundation Programme (IFP) providing high quality learning and teaching for learners from a wide range of backgrounds. As a tutor you will be part of a team, you will use your experience and expertise to lead, teach and enhance the (IFP) students in their academic writing, academic research and other academic skills
