GBS is a higher education provider offering a range of industry-focused courses across seven campuses in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds. We work in partnership with several leading UK universities to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business, management, tourism, accounting, and finance, and more. We aim to help students thrive in today’s competitive job market – offering excellent links to employers and a focus on one-to-one academic and career guidance. We take an inclusive approach to recruiting students, with an aim to widening access to higher education among groups currently under-represented in the sector. We believe that education is transformational. Our vision is to change lives through education that makes a fundamental difference to living standards and access to learning.
We are looking for an Associate Dean (AD) to lead the Accounting and Financial Management subject, programme, staff, and students. The Associate Dean will ensure, on a day-to-day basis, that the team delivers excellent student experience, teaching of the highest academic standard, and outstanding student support. The AD will also be responsible for building and developing the subject team, managing, and supporting lecturers and programme administrators, planning the delivery of teaching and related activities, working closely with our partners, liaising with professional and accreditation bodies, monitoring quality and student engagement, and achieving KPIs.
As a key member of the Institution’s leadership team, the AD will provide strong leadership and management to ensure all programmes meet their benchmark metrics. The AD will make a significant contribution to the delivery of GBS’s Strategic Plan, Mission and Vision.
