Post Summary

The Department of Economics, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, is seeking to appoint one Assistant Professor in Economics (Applied Microeconomics), to commence on 1st August 2022. The Department invites applications in the field of applied microeconomics to add to the strengths of the department in these areas: www.tcd.ie/Economics/research.

Successful applicants will contribute to research and teaching in the Department of Economics. The existing research strengths of the Department include development economics, international macroeconomics, and applied economics more generally (in particular, economic history, energy economics, political economy and urban economics).

  2. Full curriculum vitae including a list of publications and the names and contact details (email addresses) of 3 referees
  3. A URL to a job market paper representative of the candidate’s research ability
  4. Research plan (summarizing research to be carried out in the next two years and including details for funding to be sought – 2 pages maximum)
  5. Teaching statement (summarizing teaching experience and approach – 2 pages maximum)
