Assistant Professor in Comparative Law Full-Time Faculty Opening

IE University  invites applicants who are committed to an academic legal career in an international and innovative environment and possess high professional standards, to apply for a full-time, tenure-track, position at IE Law School.

Candidates should be willing and able to teach core undergraduate courses from a comparative perspective, at IE Law School's comparative law degrees. The position is open to all areas of legal expertise, whether private or public law. An interest in law and technology will be an asset.  

Successful candidates will have the ability to deliver undergraduate courses in English with an international and practice-oriented focus, using innovative methodologies while maintaining excellence in teaching. They may also be assigned graduate programs courses. They will contribute to high quality research. Attendance and participation in research seminars and conferences is expected and supported by the School. In addition, successful candidates will contribute to academic management tasks related to student services and advisory roles.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a relevant area of law
  • Expertise in comparative law. Interest in the impact of technology on law will be an asset
  • Proven experience in research and teaching
  • Fluency in English. Basic Spanish skills will be considered

Salary range: Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
