Support and coach apprentices who are our future industry talent

Empower learners as they develop the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours to successfully complete their apprenticeship – giving them the fundamental support platform needed to take their promising careers to the next level. The overall purpose of the role is to support each learner to develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours to successfully complete their apprenticeship. Highly motivated and practitioner-experienced, you understand the demands of a highly charged environment, inside and out. Perfectly positioned to help learners nurture and grow key qualities as they meet professional and educational challenges head on.

This role primarily relates to Financial Services Apprenticeships and therefore experience of working in a Financial Services environment is essential.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering a structured and appropriate development journey for the learners, enabling them to maximise their full potential
  • Assessing and supporting candidates through an apprenticeship programme in line with timeframes set out on their Apprentice Learning Plan.
  • Possessing accountability for meeting government targets set for your cohort of apprentices
  • Carrying out reviews either in person or on the phone with apprentices and line managers
  • Providing information, support, and guidance to allocated cohort of apprentices on all components of their apprenticeship to ensure successful completion
  • Establishing professional working relationships with clients
  • Building effective working relationships with the wider business, for example BPP’s central client team
  • Embracing the BPP codes of practice and ensure compliance with SDS requirements
  • Conducting administrative work such as funding paperwork, reporting and diary management
  • Achieving a minimum of 75% achievement rates

Please note that the post holder will be required to travel to BPP's Livingston office and client premises throughout Scotland as required.

What we’re looking for

  • A history of working in Financial Services
  • Assessor qualified or a willingness to undertake relevant qualifications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Professional working ethos to effectively build business relationships with large corporate clients
  • Ability to work effectively on own and as part of a team
  • Desire to achieve excellence in all aspects of the role
  • Knowledge of Skills Development Scotland policies and procedures is desirable
  • UK driving licence
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check, financial screening and checks on driving licence / points

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
