We are currently inviting applications for a PhD in Politics funded by the Economic and Social Research Council as part of the South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS) Doctoral Training Partnership.
The Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Reading is home to a range of world-class researchers working on topics including Risk, Injustice, the ethics and implications of Climate Change, the comparative study of Elections, the nature and prospects of the European Far Right, and the workings of the United Nations. We are currently inviting applications from students of all nationalities and backgrounds for a PhD funded by the Economic and Social Research Council as part of the South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS) Doctoral Training Partnership. We welcome applications in any area where our staff have expertise (see www.reading.ac.uk/spirs/staff-profiles/spirs-staff-profiles.aspx). The department is methodologically plural, while favouring a strongly comparative approach. It also hosts two interdepartmental research centres:
