Library & Student Support is a large converged student support service providing academic and wellbeing support as well as a central student enquiry service. This new post has been created as part of a review of senior roles within the service. It is a proactive leadership role which will be a member of the LSS executive team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior managers and provide strategic and operational management support which ensures that staff across the service have the support they need and the capabilities to deliver high quality services. They will have experience of working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders within the service and across the University; and will be responsible for operational decisions which impact across the whole of LSS through close liaison with business partners in Estates, HR and Finance. Their flexible, resilient and collegiate approach will enable them both to lead administrative and communication teams and staff managing LSS buildings and supporting data management; and to work collaboratively with colleagues across the service; promoting consistent improvement in ways of working, professional development and innovation.
