The University of Bradford is committed to becoming a genuinely inclusive institution where diversity is celebrated and difference respected. We aim to offer outstanding educational experiences which transform the lives of our students and contribute to society, culture, and the economy both locally and around the world. Our vision is to create a world of opportunity where people want to, and can, make a difference.
To help us realise our aspirations, the University has launched an ambitious new Learning, Teaching & Student Experience Strategy which has inclusivity as its structuring principle. We are now looking to appoint a Head of Educational & Digital Learning Development who shares our values to help drive the implementation of the strategy and deliver its objectives with our staff, for our students.
Reporting to the Director of Learning, Teaching and Quality Enhancement, leading the team of Educational and Digital Learning Developers, and working closely with colleagues in the Directorate and across the University, you will champion excellence in learning and teaching practice and deliver a range of initiatives designed to shape the future of the student experience at Bradford.
The Directorate's portfolio is central to the achievement of the University's strategic goals in learning and teaching and, as such, this role is a key addition to the team. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of senior colleagues and a group of highly experienced professionals who share a commitment to the continuous enhancement of the student experience and the betterment of the University.
To be successful, you will be a recognised expert in learning and teaching with experience of implementing strategic educational change programmes or projects that have had a positive impact on student learning. You will also have significant experience of supporting inclusive curriculum design and development in higher education along with the skills to lead and manage a team of Educational and Digital Learning Developers. As a senior member of the Directorate's management and leadership team, you will offer fresh thinking, new insights, and innovative approaches as we set about implementing the University's strategic direction for learning and teaching.
