The College of Arts is a vibrant and growing element of the University of Lincoln which is based in the heart of this thriving, beautiful and friendly city. The colleges Technical Services Team is made up of over 30 highly skilled and specialist staff who provide a wide-range of services and support to students and academic staff from across the numerous schools within the College.  We are looking to recruit an individual to support teaching and learning across the colleges extensive workshops and studios.  

The post holder will be expected to support students and academic staff across the college providing general technical support in studios and the woodworking and metalworking workshops.  Support will range from building installations and exhibitions in studios and galleries through to assisting students with woodwork, 3D printing and Laser cutting.   In addition, the post holder will take responsibility for the co-ordinating and running of the College Art Shop, ordering stock, interviewing and employing student workers and being responsible for budgets and banking.

Applications from people with extensive experience in joinery, metalwork or IT/AV are particularly welcome.

    have experience in working in a making, fabrication or arts environment

    be self-motivated and a proactive team player with a passion for providing an excellent student experience

    have the potential to develop your skills so that you are able to provide technical support to the wider team
