The Faculty of Health Sciences now has ambitious plans to grow and develop its Health and Wellbeing Services offer via a Sport Rehabilitation Clinic, to be focused on the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of neuro-musculoskeletal injuries. We are aiming to maximise the impact of the expertise, facilities and assets available to develop innovative sport rehabilitation packages that will generate new income streams. The Clinic will act as a platform for developing a local/regional client base, while also providing valuable opportunities to enhance the undergraduate and postgraduate student experience.
The post holder will play a leading role in establishing the clinic, building the brand and undertaking additional market research. For example, there is much potential to expand this delivery model into a range of other services, including a Physiological Assessment Service and a Sports Asthma/Unexplained Exertional Breathlessness Service for recreational athletes/clinical populations. With the support of Nutrition & Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Mental Health, there is also potential to develop corporate Health & Wellbeing Services for university staff and other organisations.
You should be an experienced Sport Rehabilitation professional with a relevant academic qualification (i.e. degree in Sport Rehabilitation or equivalent) and holding professional registration with BASRaT or another governing body. You should also have proven experience of developing/managing health and wellbeing services in a commercial setting, a strong commitment to high-quality customer care and an ability to work to tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
