The Division of Occupational Therapy is seeking to recruit a Lecturer (Professional Practice). We are seeking applications from an occupational therapist who will enhance the reputation of the Division through developing innovative teaching and effective student engagement in learning.  Applicants will be an occupational therapist with a CPD portfolio commensurate with research-informed clinical practice and education. We welcome applications from occupational therapists with professional experience of working in services relevant to the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy education. You will need to be able to work within a team, communicate effectively, work flexibly and meet deadlines.

We have pre-registration programmes at BSc and MSc level plus post graduate opportunities. Our pre-registration MSc programme is the only programme outside America to be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). With modern, purpose-built teaching facilities, set within a vibrant campus-based University, Brunel provides excellent opportunities to work alongside sector leading academics from a wide range of health-related subjects including Physiotherapy, Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, Physician Associate, Medicine, Sports Science and Psychology.

You will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of a high-quality occupational therapy programmes, and support the development of the learning opportunities within the Division. You will also be required to support students in practice whilst on placement to ensure the achievement of the RCOT and HCPC standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified occupational therapist to develop their educational skills and be part of an innovative, diverse and supportive Division focusing on the educational needs of its students.

An MSc and relevant professional experience is essential. PhD / Clinical doctorate is desirable but not essential. Your relevant professional experience may be demonstrated by teaching and education in practice. You will also be a registered Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or international equivalent.

An essential requirement is for the successful applicant to satisfy the requirements of checks by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
