Two fixed-term Teaching Fellow positions, School of Psychology, University of Surrey

The University of Surrey is a top ten UK University set in a beautiful campus half an hour’s journey from London.  Surrey is rated highly for teaching, the University has a Gold TEF award, and the School of Psychology was rated 10th in the 2020 Guardian League Tables.  As a growing School we are seeking to appoint two flexible Teaching Fellows to support our teaching programme. We welcome applicants from all areas of psychology but would particularly welcome applications from people with experience of personality and development.

The School has undergone major investment to enhance our environment including the on-site laboratories for neuroscience and VR research. There is an excellent Babylab with eye-tracking facilities suitable for use with very young children and we have two observation labs which can be used for both teaching and research.  We have recently invested heavily in equipment for teaching methods to students including eye-trackers, Biopac data acquisition equipment, actigraphy watches and brain stimulation equipment with the intention to ensure that our students get useful hands-on experience with these technologies.

The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to teaching on the undergraduate programme in Psychology though there may be opportunities to contribute to postgraduate teaching depending on your particular teaching interests.  All academic post-holders will contribute directly to teaching and learning and to its administration within the School.

In addition to salary you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement and excellent development opportunities.  The benefits package includes relocation provision, pension, childcare assistance and other family-friendly policies.
