Applications are invited for a Clinical Assistant Professor (Clinical Lecturer) in General Adult Psychiatry. A clinical lectureship in General Adult Psychiatry provides advanced integrated academic and clinical training for those pursuing a career in General Adult Psychiatry. The post will have a strong research commitment in mental health research.

The post will be offered on a fixed term, full-time (38.5 hour), contract for a period of up to 4 years (or a maximum of 6 years part-time, minimum of 0.6FTE.), or until award of Certificate of Completion Training (CCT) whichever is shorter. Job share arrangements may be considered.

 In the post, the Clinical Assistant Professor will split their time between clinical training within a range of placements approved for Specialty Training in preparation for the award of CCT in General Adult Psychiatry and academic work in the Mental Health and Clinical Neurosciences academic unit, School of Medicine, University of Nottingham (research and teaching). The academic part of the training will be tailored to individual needs of the Clinical Assistant Professor and their research interests. The academic work is anticipated to be hosted by the Institute of Mental Health, Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham.

Applicants must be medically qualified and have undertaken at least two years of specialist training at CT3/ST3 or above. Applicants must have a higher research degree (PhD, MD by research or equivalent) in a relevant subject area.
