This Teaching and Learning Administrator role has been designed to provide a high quality, end-to-end administration service to students and staff on the Year 1 BSc Economics Programme within the Department.

The role will provide support for all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities of students from admissions and enrolment through to completion, incorporating supporting committees and processes relating to assessment, student and course records.

This role works closely alongside the Department Tutor, Programme Directors, BSc Year 1 Module Coordinators and Student Advisors. The working relationship will be closest with the BSc Senior Administrator and Teaching and Learning Manager in that they will support each other and, at agreed times, provide cover for each other’s duties and workload.

Under the direction of a Senior Programme Administrator and the Teaching & Learning Manager and in conjunction with relevant academic staff, the postholder will ensure effective procedures are documented and adopted for dealing with all aspects of its administration. While working to a broad role description, individual role holders will be expected to lead on particular areas of work within the broader remit. These different aspects of the role will be reassigned periodically to assist with knowledge transfer and to help manage workloads across the group.

The role holder must be efficient, organised and take great care in attention to detail. In addition, the role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL, thus a professional attitude, willingness to help and a positive outlook are required in order to adequately execute the duties outlined.
