We are looking for an enthusiastic research technician to study mechanisms of haematopoietic development, in the laboratory of Prof Alexander Medvinsky.

The Opportunity:

Our laboratory aims to understand cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying emergence of haematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) in the mammalian embryo, which is a question of fundamental importance with potential practical implications. The successful candidate will provide technical support for our studies using experimental mouse and pluripotent cell models. For informal enquiries, please contact Prof. A. Your skills and attributes for success:

  • You must be highly motivated and have experience in developmental biology and molecular biology techniques including embryo manipulations, cell culture and tissue analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of tasks to set deadlines.
