MA in Comparative History / 1 YEAR / The program is built around the comparative research of early modern, modern and contemporary history. It welcomes students to explore a broad range of topics and historical periods using different approaches to the past in global, regional and local perspectives.

MA in Comparative History: From 1500 till Present Time / 2 YEARS / This program is for students who prefer a more flexible timeline for identifying and carrying out a research project or wish to delve into the study of research languages. Offering a systematic introduction to theories, methods and research skills, it helps students understand regional and global historical processes in a comparative perspective.

MA in History in the Public Sphere (HIPS) / 2 YEARS / This Erasmus Mundus master’s program focuses on the ways the past is represented, contested and negotiated in the public sphere. It is operated by a consortium of universities in the EU and Japan and takes students to Vienna, Budapest, Tokyo, Florence, Lisbon and Paris.

MA in European Women’s and Gender History (MATILDA) / 2 YEARS / Offered jointly with the Department of Gender Studies, this program provides expertise in women’s and gender history. It is operated by a consortium of universities, including the University of Vienna, the Université Lumière Lyon 2 and Università degli Studi di Padova.
