Are you an experienced tutor looking for the next challenge? Do you have the ability to provide academic and professional skills coaching and employability support to both undergraduate and postgraduate students? Are you committed to creating and delivering an excellent student experience?
Leeds University Business School (LUBS) recognises the importance of employability to its students as well as placing a premium on international levels of scholarship and research excellence. In your role as Professional Development Tutor, you will deliver teaching in academic and employability skills to a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate students from across the world, in a variety of settings, from small group tutorials to lectures. You will also be involved in the assessment of examinations and coursework, the review of modules and programmes (and in all other quality assurance processes) and will contribute to existing modules offered by the IB Department in order to integrate academic and professional skills development within the programme.
In your role as Academic Personal Tutor (APT) you will work in partnership with individual students, helping them to maximise their success at Leeds by reviewing their academic progress, offering support in circumstances that impact their studies, helping them to develop independent learning skills and signposting then to further careers guidance, co-curricular opportunities and other services.
It is anticipated that the split between professional development tutor and academic personal tutor activities will be 50:50.
