We are seeking an experienced and pragmatic senior HR professional to lead a small team providing strategic business partnering and employee relations support to the Social Sciences Division.
The Oxford Social Sciences Division represents one of the largest groupings of social scientists in the world, with c.1770 staff and over 5,00 students enrolled on a wide-ranging, innovative programme of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, all underpinned by the ground-breaking research of the academic staff.
In this interesting and varied role you will be expected to balance the resolution of high-risk, sensitive and complex case work up to and including employment tribunals with support for the Division’s strategic objectives. Building strong, productive working relationships with colleagues and an excellent understanding of the division’s objectives and challenges will be essential to support the division and its departments effectively. You will also work on proactive issues and projects aimed at assisting our managers to work effectively on people related issues.
You must be confident, capable and experienced in supporting casework and organisational change, with a keen awareness of the broader implications of HR matters. Professional and proactive, you will be expert at complex stakeholder management with up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
