The role of Head of Continued Professional Development (CPD) is a new post, and the post holder will be responsible for the development and execution of a University wide strategy and underpinning systems and processes for CPD in order to meet institutional revenue targets.
The post holder will engage closely with academics, staff, businesses and stakeholders to produce a detailed strategic plan which complements the existing UEA expertise and key priorities. The role will require a thorough understanding of HE as well as excellent project management and strategic planning to ensure the programmes are developed in a timely manner and meet the aspirations of funders, employers, students and the University. In developing the programme the postholder will need to take account of, and work alongside, existing CPD provision within certain Schools and Faculties, particularly the Workforce Hub in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. An early area of focus will be Productivity East, a new regional hub for engineering, technology and management.
It would be advantageous for you to have prior experience of developing CPD/Professional Education within HE and experience of leading strategic initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and of successfully delivering complex projects. You will have experience and a track record of building and maintaining relationships with external agencies.
