Oxford Brookes University is looking for individuals that want to come and join our innovative dynamic and expanding Health and Social Work Simulation and Immersive Technology Unit. The unit’s expansion is being accelerated by a substantial allocation from the OfS to support learning through simulation.
 
We have opportunities as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Simulation and Immersive Technology with full time and part time roles available. If you are looking for a new challenge in a creative and vibrant unit we would like to talk to you.
 
We are looking for experienced clinicians or clinical academics who have a strong focus on education. You will work with the professional practice skills and simulation team, academic and support colleagues and students across the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences to advance the Faculty’s progressive Simulation Strategy agenda for its Health and Social care students.

The role of the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Simulation and Immersive Technology is central to the success of this agenda.  Working across the faculty of Health and Life Sciences you will be responsible for the development, organisation and delivery of innovative approaches to simulated learning and clinical skills for all health and social care programmes.
 
As an expert clinician it is expected that you will have experience of running clinical simulations and supporting staff and students using your skills to create a safe learning environment based on sound pedagogical foundations to ensure our health and social care students have a first class learning experience. You will be central to advancing the University strategy on simulation and technology enhanced learning, you will work with the Head of Professional Practice skills to advance the research base of simulation based education.
