Modern Languages provision is at the heart of a strong Arts and Humanities faculty portfolio. The University is committed to its continued success and future sustainability and views languages as a vital aspect of the University’s vision and commitment to being a truly global and diverse organisation.  The University has recently undergone an exciting and strategic change programme to further strengthen language provision at Sheffield, in order to sustain and enhance our position as a leading provider of languages education in the UK whilst delivering a high-quality experience for all our students.

Our vision is that the University of Sheffield will be widely recognised as a leading provider of languages education in the UK and valued as a model of integrated research, learning, and teaching of languages and cultures.
