About the Role
Applications are invited for a Statistician to support research projects within the Centre for Evaluation and Methods. The main duties of the role will be to develop methodology and lead or assist in data analysis of new and ongoing national and international collaborative projects. These include as statistician for a trial to validate a new artificial intelligence imaging algorithm for prostate cancer; biomarker discovery and validation for cervical cancer screening; with opportunities to be involved in other projects.
Candidates must have a MSc, PhD or equivalent experience in statistics or a related quantitative field. Experience of using statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, STATA) with large datasets and an understanding of the research process are essential. The post would suit someone who is passionate about statistics, and who wishes to develop their reputation and research independence in cancer early diagnosis and prevention.
