The post holder will make a key contribution to the further development of our research excellence by building on the current research strengths of the Department. We are committed to a research and teaching programme that takes an increasingly interdisciplinary approach to the fields of journalism, political and public communication, sociology of the media, mediated communication and digital media and we are seeking applicants who will further enhance the next phase of its research and impact profile in these areas. You will contribute to our postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, as appropriate.

You should have a proven track record of sustained and continuing research performance through high-quality, internationally excellent research outputs and proven ability to secure competitive external funding for research as a principal investigator.
