We have an exciting opportunity at Writtle University College to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Animal Science lecturer to join our Department of Animal Science team to support the delivery of high quality, innovative teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
Our Animal Science and Animal Management courses have seen substantial growth in student numbers on our most recently validated courses, with new and exciting content to deliver. The ideal candidates will have in-depth knowledge in one or more aspects of Animal Science, particularly in zoo and wildlife management, although applicants from a range of industry or academic backgrounds will be considered.
You should hold a Masters or PhD in Animal Science or a related subject, or be working towards a postgraduate qualification. Additionally, previous relevant academic, industry experience and an understanding of conducting academic research would be advantageous.
Within this varied role, you will be required to design, implement, assess, support and evaluate learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be part of well established, professional, experienced and supportive team of specialists, already teaching on a variety of programs.
You will be also expected to play a vital role in our commitment to widening participation and recruiting students from all backgrounds.
