Stirling College, Chengdu University is looking for a Senior Lecturer in Digital Media to deliver modules on its BA (Hons) Digital Media programme.
We are a collaborative partnership between the University of Stirling and Chengdu University, founded in 2021 (license number MOE51UKA02DNR20212174N), with a supportive, collegial environment, rigorous adherence to the University of Stirling’s academic standards, an emphasis on student-centred learning for our students, and professional development opportunities for our staff.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in contextualizing University of Stirling modules for delivery in China, selecting and developing appropriate learning materials and activities that reflect the contemporary digital media environment in China and incorporating these into the programme, and in some instances developing material for completely new modules.
The BA (Hons) Digital Media award covers a range of areas in which students will develop skills to be creative and productive in the digital era, along with an understanding of the ethical, legal and theoretical dimensions of the subject, including:

The position is a full-time post based in Chengdu with a teaching load of up-to twenty class hours per week, with a monthly salary starting at RMB 21,665, an annual flight allowance* of RMB 9,000 and an apartment*. We prefer to hire staff members who intend to stay for several years.
Chengdu is considered one of the most liveable cities in China, with spectacular and varied cuisine, vibrant nightlife, and a wealth of cultural heritage, and is served by an extensive, clean and efficient metro system. The university is situated in a large and pleasant campus adjacent to a sizeable park on the outskirts of the city about 20 minutes from the city centre by metro.
