About the role
We are currently recruiting for a new UK Student Recruitment and Outreach Support Coordinator to join our Future Students Office (FSO) at Leicester. The focus of this role is to support the team in delivery of pre and post-16-focused recruitment and outreach activities, both physically and online, on campus and across the UK.
This will include delivering higher education talks and workshops to students, teachers and parents, attending events held at partner and priority schools and colleges, as well as supporting the delivery of school visits to our campus. Reflecting on your own graduate experience, you will help to inspire and encourage prospective students to consider Leicester as a future destination.
Digitally, you will be responsible for maximising the exposure of the University via Future Students Office social media channels and digital platforms (e.g. The Student Room and Unifrog). You will also provide administrative support and coordination for the UK Student Recruitment team including the team email inbox and for our progression programme, Realising Opportunities.
With prior experience in a customer facing role, you will have a demonstrable belief in the benefits of Higher Education and the desire to enable students from a wide range of backgrounds to access University Education, alongside an understanding of widening participation issues. With strong communication skills, you will have excellent customer service skills, as well as an ability to organise and prioritise your workload.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 because the appointee will have substantial access to young people and/or vulnerable adults. Therefore, an appointment to this post will be subject to checking and appropriate clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The successful applicant for this post will, therefore, be required to give consent for the University to check with the DBS for the existence and content of any criminal record in the form of an Enhanced Disclosure. Information received from the DBS and the police will be kept in strict confidence and will be destroyed once the University is satisfied in this regard.
For information enquiries, please contact Elliot Newstead, Head of UK Student Recruitment and Outreach on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We anticipate that interviews will take place on 20th July 2022.
Applications for job share will be considered.
