About the Role:
The Cambridge School of Creative Industries are seeking a committed and dedicated individual to teach within the Film and Media discipline based in Cambridge. We are a thriving multi-disciplinary department, with world-leading research, committed to research-informed teaching. Our faculty is home to excellent teaching and research across both traditional and contemporary disciplines. All our courses are committed to the mutual reinforcement of theory and practice and are grounded in our academics’ innovative and internationally recognised research.
For this fixed term two year position you will teach and provide academic supervision across degrees within the film and media discipline. These include BA Media and Communication and BA Film and Media degrees. You will have a degree and PhD (for Senior Lecturer role, and teaching experience and the potential to contribute towards the development of Media and Communication at ARU.
The Cambridge School of Creative Industries at Anglia Ruskin University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Media and Communication on a 2 year fixed term basis. You will teach and provide academic supervision across degrees within the film and media discipline. These include BA Media and Communication and BA Film and Media degrees. The successful candidate will possess a completed doctorate in a relevant academic discipline, have teaching experience and the potential to contribute towards the development of Media and Communication at ARU. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to existing teaching and research strengths in the following areas:
With a focus on critical and contextual studies, you will also work broadly across the courses including the supervising of film and media research projects, marking and double marking major projects and research projects. You will be required to plan, prepare, and assess module assignments as well being involved in the administration and leadership of modules. You will be required to attend discipline meetings and work collaboratively with members of staff.
With a research profile and experience commensurate with the stage of your career, you will contribute to the thriving research activities of the school giving research talks and being involved in research seminars and meetings.
