Manchester Metropolitan University Business School is a triple accredited business school (EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA), placing us within a global elite of institutions for business education and research. We offer a full range of programmes to c. 10,000 students across undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA qualifications. We are also the UK's sector leader for degree apprenticeships, where we work in partnership with a number of blue-chip employers. The last five years have also seen a tripling of our research active staff, and a rapid upward trajectory in all key research metrics.
The Department of Economics, Policy and International Business is an academic community of over 50 academic staff and 1500 students studying at undergraduate and postgraduate taught and postgraduate research levels. The department is closely aligned with the Future Economies Research Centre through the Sports Policy Unit and has a high proportion of staff returned to REF 2021. We work closely with a number of global, national and regional partners such as UEFA, The International Olympic Committee, the Rugby League, GreaterSport Manchester along with a sports development project in the Republic of Congo.
About the role:
To complement our existing areas of expertise, we are looking to appoint a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Sports. We are seeking an ambitious academic who can make an excellent contribution to the continued strategic development of the Department, Faculty and University by delivering a high-quality student experience.
The appointed person is expected to have an in-depth understanding of Sports Management including recent developments in Sports Marketing and/or Sports Policy.
