Consistent structures and roles have been created across all three faculties, to aid collaborative working and innovation to enable excellence in outcomes, delivery and support.
Colleagues will be assigned to a faculty at appointment however may be asked to work in another faculty or area of the university as and when required to aid organisational resilience and staff development.
The Executive Assistant will work with the Executive Officer and other members of the team to ensure smooth running of all operations and support for the Faculty Leadership Team.
The postholder will specifically provide professional administrative support to the Professor of Public Health and Psychiatry within the Medical School, and to the wider team in the Population Psychiatry Suicide and Informatics Research Group as necessary. Due to the sensitive nature of the research underway within the PPSI a high level of professional confidentiality is expected of the post holder. A background or interest in mental health, suicide and self-harm prevention, and public health would be useful but is not essential.
The postholder will have a GCSE or equivalent experience as Executive Assistant. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and have excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner, excellent written and proofreading skills to take accurate minutes, excellent organisation skills to provide administrative and operational support and organise and schedule meetings and events and arranging travel and accommodation.
