Edinburgh College of Art is seeking to recruit a creative, self-motivated and proactive individual to join the ‘Mapping Data Landscapes’ project team within the ESALA (Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture). This is a project to explore and develop an understanding of data, housing and people in the social housing sector and the potential it has for improving sustainability, wellbeing for tenants, and the lifecycle of social housing stock.

The post holder will be part of a collaborative project with the SFHA, Cairn and Barrhead Housing Associations and be responsible for research, workshop and design aspects of the project. They will work closely with the Project Investigator, Partner organisations and colleagues across the School and wider University to support the delivery of the ‘Mapping Data Landscapes’ project (ESRC IAA funded project).

The post is also responsible for supporting project management, communications and project dissemination. This is an exciting opportunity to join the University on a fixed term role, as well as contributing to a project focussed in the social housing sector.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Postgraduate degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience of design and co-creation workshops
  • Experience of working with a range of academic and non-academic stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing.
  • Experience of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
