Learner and Discovery Services (LDS) is an award-winning unit of The Open University responsible for the production and delivery of the University’s curriculum; it also has a central role in the design of learning materials.

The role

We are looking for an Online Service Administrator to work within the Online Services Team in Design, Development and Production (DD&P), a subunit of LDS, working alongside other media specialists delivering high quality learning materials. 

You will be responsible for the setup, configuration and support of virtual learning environment (VLE) websites and tools; dealing with queries from faculty, LDS, Student Services and the OU Computing and Distribution Helpdesk.

Skills and experience

You will have good organisational, time management and ICT skills, together with an attention to detail.  You will show demonstrable experience of managing systems, maintaining websites and the use of Microsoft Office is required, as is the ability to work well within a team.  A background in open and distance learning systems would be an advantage.
