Advert Text:  This is an exciting opportunity for a ‘Vaccine Knowledge and Public Engagement Manager’ within Oxford Vaccine Group to lead on communications and engagement on vaccine awareness. Oxford Vaccine Group has over 25 years' experience in vaccine research from preclinical development to policy influencing trials. The Vaccine Knowledge Project was developed to raise public awareness of the importance of vaccination and the website is used by the public and health professionals, with over 2 million page views in 2020. This is an exciting time to get involved with vaccine communication, when vaccine hesitancy is a globally recognised health threat, both for COVID-19 and childhood vaccine preventable diseases.

The post is full-time for 2 years in the first instance.

This role will provide an opportunity to develop scientific communications materials both digitally and for community engagement; expand our online content to reach a more global audience; and increase the use of social media to deliver key public health messages, particularly to younger audiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of online content bringing together the latest information about vaccine safety and addressing misinformation. The role requires the ability to stay up to date with the latest research and to translate scientific language into understandable formats for distribution online.

You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application. The Supporting Statement should include a cover letter and should also clearly describe how you meet each of the selection criteria listed in the job description.
