The School of Architecture + Cities is one of the leading schools of architecture in the UK. Situated in the centre of London, the School enjoys large, purpose-built and newly refurbished studios and a recently commissioned Fabrication Laboratory featuring extensive digital and analogue workshops. It also benefits from being part of a wider, collaborative College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries. The School offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in architecture, interiors and cognate disciplines, characterised by a triangulation of teaching, practice and research combined with a commitment to embracing new technologies and innovation in design. The 2022 OPEN summer exhibition is currently on at our Marylebone Campus until the 11th July and the work can also be seen online here

Building on its existing success the School of Architecture + Cities is seeking to appoint a part-time Lecturer to teach on the BSc Architectural Technology degree. This appointment is an opportunity to contribute to studio teaching, undertake module leadership, course development and personal tutoring. Membership of the professional body CIAT is an advantage, particularly candidates with MCIAT accreditation. In addition, the post-holder will be expected to actively support our diverse student body, enhance professional engagement, expand digital capabilities, as well as address the climate emergency and contribute to the culture of the wider School.

Professional experience and understanding of architectural technology and related disciplines is essential, together with a Post-Graduate Degree (or an equivalent level of knowledge), teaching experience in higher education and/or relevant professional experience (e.g. in practice).
