An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to work closely alongside the technical support manager, to ensuring the delivery of a professional, high quality end user support service at the University. The Senior role will provide technical expertise, leadership and actively support the team and its development. The technical responsibilities of the role include investigation and root cause analysis on End User System and Building software and Operating System deployments using university technologies. (SCCM, Intune, VMware VDI).
The successful candidate will have excellent, in-depth understanding of PC technology and networking and have experience of providing a high-quality service across a large user base and complex environment. They will work closely with the Technical Architects to develop new systems and streamline processes. Key objectives will include the development of end user systems and processes to aid the resolution of tickets and prevent common issues from recurring.
