Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin invites applications for the CRH Professor of Climate Science. Philanthropically enabled, this is a senior appointment commensurate with the University’s on-going commitment to support and advance climate science research, teaching and learning. Inspirational candidates, driven by the challenge to measure and respond to the integrated and complex effects of climate change are warmly welcomed. In particular we are seeking applicants who are motivated to develop and apply new technologies and/or processes that are climate-sensitive, sustainable, resilient, and that respect biodiversity.

Post status: Permanent Contract (full time).

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Professorial salary scale at a point in line with Government Pay Policy €124,683 to €157,613 per annum. https://www.tcd.ie/hr/assets/pdf/monthly_academic.pdf

  3. An outline of the candidate’s vision for Climate Science at Trinity College Dublin (including how this will be realised over the short, medium and long-term (maximum of 3 x A4 pages).
  4. A Research plan (including domain specific and multidisciplinary research questions to be tackled in the next five years (maximum of 2 x A4 pages).
  5. A Teaching philosophy (maximum of 2 x A4 pages).
