MA BY RESEARCH / MPHIL / PHD / PHD BY PUBLICATION STUDENTSHIPS IN HISTORY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GLOUCESTERSHIRE (CHELTENHAM) STARTING 1 OCTOBER 2022
The University of Gloucestershire is offering a number of MA by Research / MPhil / PhD / PhD by Publication studentships in History, to cover the full or partial direct payment of tuition home fees for the first year of registration only. After the first year of study, students will be expected to cover the full cost of their fees.
Applications are invited from students interested in pursuing research topics across a range of themes matching staff interests, including (but not limited to):
Thematic and interdisciplinary proposals are encouraged relating to: decolonisation (including the legacies of slavery in Gloucestershire), gender history, case studies in the history of trauma.
For MA by Research, applicants must have a BA Hons of at least 2.1 standard or equivalent in History (or related discipline). For MPhil or PhD, applicants must have a Master’s degree in History (or related discipline).
For PhD by Publication, applicants should have a successful record of publication in History. Applicants will need to provide evidence of research-based, peer reviewed recent publication (excluding self-publication) of book-length (between 80,000 and 100,000 words) or an equivalent portfolio of book chapters and journal articles on a coherent theme.
