About the role

This role is designed as a two-year career development role for individuals seeking a career in ancient language and general classics teaching, and research, and encompasses a two-year development programme. Individuals will be appointed a mentor and will be expected to develop and maintain their own learning objectives throughout the programme.

The postholder is expected primarily to prepare and deliver ancient language teaching within the Faculty. 

You will also be expected to help with the administration of language classes, develop experience of other aspects of faculty duties, prepare language teaching materials, and set and mark university exams.

About you

You will hold a first degree in a relevant subject area, have completed or be soon to complete a doctorate, have outstanding competence in both ancient languages, proven language teaching skills and language teaching experience.
