We are seeking a Performance Physiotherapist to work closely with a wide range of clients seeking treatment. The key purpose of the role will be to work with High Performance Athletes including injury prevention and management during their pursuit of athletic excellence. The client group will include students who are part of the UEA performance sport programme and Sportspark community users.
You will become an active member of the wider UEA Sportspark multidisciplinary team (MDT), liaising with other professionals to deliver a holistic approach to treatment, leading to performance enhancement. You will encourage exercise and movement, advising patients on recovery and leading a healthy lifestyle.
Reporting to the UEA Student Performance Sport Manager and the Sportspark Fitness Manager, you will act as a source of expertise for the physiotherapy assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal problems. You will also supervise placement students undertaking pre-registration Physiotherapy degree programmes.
You will need proven experience of working as a qualified physiotherapist, with a Physiotherapy Pre-Registration bachelors or master’s degree in Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an active practicing physiotherapist.
This appointment is subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
This full-time post is available immediately on a 12 month fixed term basis.
