About the Role
The Accounts Payable Assistant will play a key role for processing and ensuring invoices and other documents are paid in a timely manner, so the supplier terms are meant.
About You
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade A-C including in English and Mathematics
Experience of working in a high-volume Accounts Payable team
Experience of a computerised financial management system utilising purchase orders, preferably Agresso
Knowledge and practical experience of the Purchase to Pay process
Experience in a customer-focussed environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

About the Department
Accounts Payable is the section within Finance of the University that is responsible for the payments to Academic Visitors, Staff Expenses, Students and Trade Suppliers.
This is performed using the Finance System Agresso.
The Purchase to Pay process in place across college requires all supplier payments to be supported by purchases orders and the resulting supplier invoice.
Good understanding of the Purchase to Pay process will enable the post holder to fully appreciate the significance of their role in the cycle.
Timely payment of suppliers is critical to the organisation – the role is pivotal in ensuring university liabilities are discharged within agreed payment terms.

The post is based at the Dept W – Mile End Road, London. It is full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment, with an expected start date of 29th August 2022. The starting salary will be Grade 3 in the range of £28,202 - £32,941 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
