About the Department

Accounts Payable is the section within Finance of the University that is responsible for the payments to Academic Visitors, Staff Expenses, Students and Trade Suppliers.

This is performed using the Finance System Agresso.

The Purchase to Pay process in place across college requires all supplier payments to be supported by purchases orders and the resulting supplier invoice.

Good understanding of the Purchase to Pay process will enable the post holder to fully appreciate the significance of their role in the cycle.

Timely payment of suppliers is critical to the organisation – the role is pivotal in ensuring university liabilities are discharged within agreed payment terms.
