Applications are invited for the position of Admissions Assistant based in the Cambridge Admissions Office.
The post is part of the Admissions and Data Services team, which deals with incoming admissions enquiries; receives and processes over 20,000 undergraduate applications each year; liaises closely with the Cambridge Colleges, UCAS and Awarding Bodies to ensure quality service delivery; and which produces management information, statistics, reports and research regarding admissions to inform strategy.
The Admissions Assistant role provides essential administrative support to the team in all of these processes to ensure applicants have a positive experience of the process, that the process is equitable and transparent, and to ensure that the Cambridge Colleges are appropriately supported throughout.
The role holder is expected to provide specialist admissions advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders (including prospective undergraduates, parents and advisers, teachers/tutors, and external agencies), have a flexible approach to working and be able to respond to tasks as they arise.
Applicants should have excellent organisational, communication, administrative, and IT skills as well as experience of working within an office environment and knowledge of the UK education system.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
